32 ships delivered, production value exceeded plan

With just over a month left until the end of 2025, Song Cam Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company has completed and delivered dozens of newly built ships, with production value exceeding the yearly plan. The positive production and business situation has further motivated employees, making them excited and enthusiastic about their work.

In the workshops, the sound of CNC cutting machines, welding machines, grinding machines, the sound of steel plates colliding during the moving and construction process...; then the sound of cranes operating, hammers, bolt tightening machines... All create a bustling, urgent atmosphere.

Stooping in the narrow engine compartment of the ship, Mr. Bui Duc Chien, the leader of the pipe installation team, is welding pipes together with another worker. He shared: The team's job is to install the ship's pipe systems, so they have to crawl in the engine compartment, which is narrow, closed for long periods of time, with little light. The working environment is harsh, but the factory has equipped workers with ventilation and dust filtration systems, creating a safe working environment.

"The most important thing is that for many years, the jobs have been stable and the income is guaranteed, so the workers are very excited and attached to the job and the company. This year, there is not enough work to do, so we feel even more secure," Mr. Chien said excitedly.

Mr. Hoang Van Tung, General Director of Song Cam Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company, said that in recent years, the company has mainly built new tugboat hulls and specialized high-speed boats for export for Damen Shipbuilding Group - Netherlands. In addition, it has carried out a number of mechanical processing and supporting industry products. The products manufactured by the company are all of high quality, meeting the requirements of customers and are registered domestically and internationally. Therefore, creating trust with partners, customers continue to sign many new orders, ensuring regular employment for workers.

In 2025, in addition to the unfinished construction products from 2024, according to the plan, the company must deploy 39 products under the contract and hand over 25 products.

Encouragingly, with many solutions in production organization, in just the first 9 months of 2025, in addition to 17 products transferred from 2024, the company has deployed construction of 31 new products. The result brings the total number of products constructed in 9 months to 48 products, including 37 ASD hulls, 9 RSD hulls and 2 ST245 hulls; of which 32 products were handed over to customers.

With newly built and repaired products, the total production value of the company reached more than 1,096 billion VND, reaching 106% of the yearly plan. Total revenue and other income reached more than 866 billion VND, pre-tax profit was about 48.7 billion VND.

It is expected that in 2025, the total production value of the company will reach about 1,295 billion VND, reaching 125% of the yearly plan; Total revenue and income will reach more than 1,237 billion VND, reaching 127% of the yearly plan; Pre-tax profit will be more than 70 billion VND, reaching 130% of the yearly plan.

Improve quality, maintain customer trust

General Director Hoang Van Tung said that from the end of 2023 until now, implementing Resolution 220/NQ-CP of the Government and plans and directions of the Ministry of Construction (formerly Ministry of Transport), Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC) on handling enterprises, the company has focused on the task of promoting production and business, ensuring jobs and income for employees.

In particular, continue to carry out labor restructuring, review, arrange and mobilize internally the indirect block, service block and direct production block in production departments and workshops to improve labor productivity and work efficiency.

Actively discuss and work with partners, especially Damen Group; at the same time, "respond" practically with progress and product quality. Thereby maintaining prestige, creating trust with partners and customers in the policy of implementing Resolution 220, as well as in the capacity and development potential of Song Cam Shipbuilding.

In addition, the company pays special attention to green transformation solutions, digital transformation, applying new technologies to production organization and taking care of the lives and improving working conditions of workers. Such as using environmentally friendly products in production and construction in factories to reduce smoke and dust emissions into the environment. Training officers and employees on AI and applying it to production, helping to optimize work, reduce time...

According to Mr. Tung, in 2026 Song Cam will continue to face many difficulties in the market and the shortage of shipbuilding human resources. While it is expected to construct about 40 new products and processed and auxiliary products.

"In 2026, the company aims to continue to maintain growth momentum by expanding its product portfolio, promoting the search for new contracts and optimizing construction progress to ensure a stable source of revenue. The 2026 plan will focus on balancing production output and financial efficiency, aiming for sustainable growth and improving competitiveness," said Mr. Tung.

To achieve this goal, Song Cam will deploy many solutions on production management to reduce costs and increase efficiency; invest in factories, renovate, upgrade and invest in new machinery and equipment to improve production capacity.
