HALONG SHIPBUILDING COMPANY: LAUNCHING SUPERYACHT EMERALD KAIA

On November 10, 2025, in Quang Ninh, after 14 months of hard work with close cooperation and maximum support from the ship owner Scenic Tours and the representative of CRS, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company (a member unit of SBIC Shipbuilding Industry Corporation) held the Launching Ceremony of 120-meter ship No. 2, code EW03, named EMERALD KAIA. This is a vivid proof of the strong and good cooperative relationship between Ha Long Shipbuilding Company and Scenic Tours Group.

Mr Tran Manh Ha, General Director of Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, spoke at the ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were comrades Tran Manh Ha - General Director, Ngo Tung Lam - Member of the Board of Members of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation; Mr. Ivo Skelin - Project Director of Scenic Tours; Mr. Goran Hodak - Inspection representative, along with all leaders, officers, and workers of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company.

EMERALD KAIA is a new generation luxury superyacht, built to strict international standards, with the following specifications:

- Maximum length: 119.88 m

- Design width: 17.44 m

- Side height: 8.20 m

- Design draft: 4.60 m

- Maximum speed: 15.5 knots

- Passenger: 136 guests

- Crew: 104 p.

- Number of passenger cabins: 64 cabins

- Number of crew cabins: 52 cabins

- Total capacity of the ship: 7.000 GRT

Within the framework of the ceremony, Mr Tran Manh Ha, General Director, gave a speech to direct, acknowledge, and commend the efforts and high sense of responsibility of the Ha Long Shipbuilding Company during the construction process, ensuring the progress and quality of the EMERALD KAIA ship. He emphasized that the successful launching of the 120m ship-EW03 today is a clear affirmation of the capacity, reputation, and position of the unit in the field of building new luxury cruise ships to serve the international market. He also requested Ha Long Shipbuilding Company to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and strengthen cooperation with the ship owner Scenic Tours and international partners to complete and hand over the ship on schedule, ensuring absolute safety and the highest quality. General Director Tran Manh Ha believes that, with a solid technical foundation, accumulated experience, and a sense of responsibility of the staff, engineers, and workers, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company will continue to achieve many new successes, making positive contributions to the development of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and the Vietnamese shipbuilding industry.

Acting General Director of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company Limited - Mr Nguyen Van Manh shared: Right after the launching ceremony, the two sides also held the keel laying ceremony of passenger ship 120 - EW04. Ha Long Shipbuilding Company will devote all human resources to continue construction, complete the remaining work, accompany the Ship Owner to conduct test runs and hand over the ship on schedule as committed and proceed with construction of the ship whose keel was laid today.
